What is MentorAbility?

MentorAbility is a national initiative built on a supported employment foundation that promotes the recruitment, employment, and retention of people experiencing life with disabilities.

Delivered locally in Manitoba by Career Connections Inc., MentorAbility connects employers, job seekers, and community partners through in person and virtual mentoring experiences, networking and learning events, and awareness building activities.

MentorAbility focuses on facilitating short term mentorship opportunities, typically ranging from one hour to one day. These experiences allow people experiencing life with disabilities to explore careers, workplaces, and industries in a supportive environment. Mentorships are not job interviews and do not guarantee employment. They are designed to support learning, confidence building, and informed career exploration while supporting inclusive employment practices.

MentorAbility is part of a national effort to promote inclusive employment for people living in Canada who are experiencing life with disabilities.
